Emma Gray

Emma’s singing career began at an early age, but she started studying seriously at 14. Since then she has appeared in various opera and operetta roles including Susanna (Le Nozze di Figaro), Belinda (Dido and Aeneas) and Mabel (The Pirates of Penzance). She has recently finished a run of Gilbert & Sullivan’s The Sorcerer at the Blackheath Halls, in the role of Aline Sangazure. She also enjoys singing lieder, particularly those of Mozart and Richard Strauss.
Emma also sings with local groups Concitato! and Camerata Voices.
She studies singing with Patricia Williams.

Caroline Lovett

Caroline was born in Somerset and studied the oboe at the London College of Music.
After graduating she has played in variety of orchestras and ensembles and was principal oboe of the Metropolitan Police Band for 7 years, up to its untimely demise in May 1997.
She has since performed on Classic FM, at the Barbican Hall, St.John Smith Square and on the P&O cruise ship ‘Oriana’ with her wind quartet.
Her connection with the Crystal Palace Band came about through meeting our Bb Bass player Richard, at a wedding near Ayr in 1992, and for the last few years has been juggling her musical commitments with the arrival of their twin boys.
