3NT by East is a little thin, but there were plenty of clues: Jon Green, Bridge Detective, followed them. South led a Spade, and Green played KC, then C4 to the Ace. The ten of Hearts was played from dummy, and North went wanging in with the Ace. He cashed his winning Club, and exited with a Heart, Green inserting the Jack. A Club to dummy was followed by the Jack of Diamonds, which North covered. Declarer ducked, and North could choose his poison a Heart or a Diamond would provide Jon Green (playing for the Young Chelsea team) with his ninth trick. |
