Your options are 5 hearts, double or a conservative pass.
What do you think?
Would your bid be different if East had bid 5 clubs instead of 5 diamonds?

But you might like to see the next hand first

How about this one?

Vulnerable against not, you expect to open your version of a 21/22 NT bid when partner surprises you wiith a multi two diamonds showing a weak 2 in either major (other strong options are unlikely!)

Your 2NT then asks partner to specify the suit and the quality of his hand when, unfortunately, left hand opponent chips in with a two suited 4NT overcall (said to be 'probably' minors). Partner passes and right hand opponent bids 5 clubs.

How do you proceed? Your options are double, 5 hearts, 6 hearts, 5 diamonds or 6 clubs. (Have you agreed that partner should convert if you bid hearts in this type of situation when he has spades?!)
