North South |
South thought awhile and discarded the club
10. West won with the Queen and played a
low club. East ruffed!! He now shifted to
the Diamond K (an error?). South ruffed on
the table, discarded the club Ace and Queen
on the Heart J 10 and cross ruffed for 10
tricks, East under ruffing at the end!
Have you ever seen a hand where you have
a 5/4 side suit fit with 100 honours and
don't make a single trick in that suit? East
has spades Q 9 8 x so you have to discard
the club. You have 4 losers if you go for
the club suit.
