BRIDGE NEWS FROM THE LMBA 2004 London win back the 'Daily Telegraph' - Sunday 5th December Team:Rob Cliffe & Mike Hill, David Ould & Ian Payn Table of Results London Qualify for the 2005 Tolle Final! London actually led their group throughout the weekend until they went into the last stanza, when they were overtaken by Leicestershire. London then played them and lost a little, so they were first and, when the final scores had been agreed, London found they were equal second with Sussex. The tie was split on the result of the match between London and Sussex, but that was a 10-all draw in VPs! So it was split on the IMP totals and London's turned out to be a winning draw, as London had 2 more IMPs than Sussex in that match. Phew! Team: Rob Cliffe & Ian Payn, Brian Callaghan & Chris Duckworth, Gordon Rainsford & Paul Martin, Peter Czerniewski & Marc Smith At The Olympiad 2004
